Las Unidades Vecinales de Lima 1945 - 1975

Abstract
La investigación que sustenta la presente conferencia fue realizada para la tesis doctoral titulada Articulaciones urbanas. Estrategias proyectuales en las unidades vecinales de Lima 1945-1975. Reconoce este estudio la evolución de los ideales sociales y las ideas de arquitectura urbana coaguladas en cuatro estrategias proyectuales que al encarnarse en el concepto de unidad vecinal dan forma a la vivienda del ‘proyecto moderno’ en el Perú.
Unidad Vecinal N.3, Unidad Vecinal Matute, Residencial San Felipe y el Conjunto PREVI son proyectos que no sólo condensan y catalizan el ‘proyecto moderno’, sino principalmente reproducen la riqueza y complejidad cultural del Perú en su proceso de modernización.

The research that underpins this conference was carried out for the doctoral thesis entitled Urban Articulations. Project strategies in the 1945-1975 Housing Developments of Lima. This study considers the evolution of social ideals and urban architecture ideas grouped in four project strategies that shape the "modern project" housing in Peru, when embodied in the housing development concept.
Housing Development Number 3, Matute Housing Development, Residencial San Felipe and the PREVI Complex are projects that not only condense and catalyze the 'modern project', but mainly reproduce the richness and cultural complexity of Peru in its modernization process.
