| dcterms.abstract | Cajamarca, ciudad intermedia de los Andes del norte del Perú y escenario del encuentro entre Atahualpa y Pizarro, ha sido analizada tradicionalmente a través de sus iglesias barrocas; no obstante, su arquitectura residencial constituye también un patrimonio rico e importante.
En esta conferencia Adriana Scaletti se concentra en el desarrollo urbano y arquitectónico del centro histórico, marco de las casas de morada cajamarquinas. Profundiza en la relación que ha existido con la minería desde el siglo XVIII, con especial atención a los impactos diversos y siempre significativos de esta actividad en la región.

| dcterms.abstract | Cajamarca, an intermediate city in the Andes of northern Peru and scene of the meeting between Atahualpa and Pizarro, has traditionally been analyzed through its baroque churches; however, its residential architecture also constitutes a rich and important heritage.
In this conference, Adriana Scaletti focuses on the urban and architectural development of the historic center, the setting for the dwelling houses of Cajamarca. It delves into the relationship that has existed with mining since the 18th century, with special attention to the diverse and always significant impacts of this activity in the region.
