A semi-phenomenological approach to the structure and transport properties of macromolecules in solution
(2006-08-03)

Cultural Impacts on the Spread of Mobile Commerce: An International Comparison
(Information Science Reference, 2009)
Culture predefines the framework of needs, beliefs, and norms in most decisions humans make in their lives. However, the impact of culture often tends to be neglected in the investigation into adaptation of mobile business technologies. This chapter aims to address that lacuna by highlighting cultural differences and their consequences for the diffusion of mobile technologies in business and society, as well as its acceptance in mobile direct marketing and mobile commerce. We achieve our objective in the following ...

Story Analyzing als Zugang zur Organisationskultur
(2006)
The Psychohistory of Lloyd deMause as a key to corporate culture - The corporate culture approach is considered a central key to the understanding of the dynamics of organizations. Since the corporate culture mirrors unconscious contexts of meaning, culture analysis in organizations gain in importance. Narratives convey culture. So why not use narratives for the analysis of organisational cultures? The combination of data collection through work biographies with a resembling »narrative analytical method« such as the ...

The Courseware Watchdog: an ontology-based tool for finding and organizing learning material
(2003)
Topics in education are changing with an ever faster pace. E-Learning resources tend to be more and more decentralised. Users need increasingly to be able to use the resources of the web. For this, they should have tools for finding and organizing information in a decentral way. In this, paper, we show how an ontology-based tool suite allows to make the most of the resources available on the web.

Iceberg query lattices for datalog
(2004)
In this paper we study two orthogonal extensions of the classical data
mining problem of mining association rules, and show how they naturally interact. The first is the extension from a propositional representation to datalog, and the second is the condensed representation of frequent itemsets by means of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA). We combine the notion of frequent datalog queries with iceberg concept lattices (also called closed itemsets) of FCA and introduce two kinds of iceberg query lattices as condensed ...
