| dcterms.abstract | Desde hace más de veinticinco siglos los habitantes de los Andes Centrales vienen construyendo el paisaje y acumulando un conocimiento que hoy ignoramos cuando intervenimos en él. El conocimiento ancestral, aún vivo en el medio rural, tiende a borrar los límites entre paisaje y territorio, entre sujeto y objeto, entre medio ambiente y ser humano.
Este entendimiento es la gran oportunidad que tenemos para establecer valores y principios que guíen la planificación y las intervenciones contemporáneas en nuestro país, para proseguir con la construcción de un paisaje armónico que esté en la intersección entre sus valores, sus habitantes y las condicionantes de nuestra modernidad.

Arquitecto, investigador y docente, Master en Territorio y paisaje
Director de la Maestría en Arquitectura y Procesos Proyectuales en la PUCP y profesor en las universidades de Paris-Belleville, Harvard, Yale y Virginia
Fundó en 1994, junto a Sandra Barclay, el estudio Barclay & Crousse, produciendo obras que le han valido el reconocimiento internacional con numerosos e importantes premios

| dcterms.abstract | The inhabitants of the Central Andes have been building the landscape for more than twenty-five centuries and accumulating knowledge that we ignore today when we intervene in it. Ancestral knowledge, still alive in rural areas, tends to erase the limits between landscape and territory, between subject and object, between environment and human being.
This understanding is the great opportunity we have to establish values and principles that guide contemporary planning and interventions in our country, to continue with the construction of a harmonious landscape that is at the intersection of its values, its inhabitants and the conditions of our modernity.
