Potenzialanalyse der Fördermaßnahme CO₂-WIN
(2022-01)

CO₂ as Carbon Source
(2022-04)
This thesis examines several aspects of the use of CO₂ as a carbon source for the chemical industry in Germany. The analysis focuses on the usage potential for CO₂ in the chemical and plastics industries, the current and future competitiveness for the production of CO₂ based chemicals in Germany and the characteristics of a CO₂ based value chain for polymer products. To investigate the different aspects, multiple methods of system analysis are applied, which investigate environmental and economic aspects of CO₂-based ...

Impact on climate by land-atmosphere interactions
(2022)
This synthesis of the cumulative habilitation explores the uncertainties of the impact of land-atmosphere interactions due to land use and cover change (LUCC) on the regional and local climate. The results are published in several papers of climate, environmental and atmospheric journals. Efficient emission reduction policies are needed in order to reduce the increase in the rate of climate change intensification with increasing greenhouse gas emissions. This requires the development of mitigation and adaptation ...

Unsicherheitsfaktor globale Landbedeckung: Konsequenzen für die Landsystemmodellierung
(2022-01)
