Klassengespräch im Mathematikunterricht
(Eine Pilotstudie im Rahmen des Projekts "Persönlichkeits- und Lernentwicklung von Grundschulkindern")
Abstract
Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wird die Beteiligung von Grundschulkindern an der didaktischen Kommunikation im öffentlichen Klassenunterricht im Fach Mathematik untersucht. Wer wird im öffentlichen Klassenunterricht drangenommen? Verteilen sich die Redebeiträge annähernd gleich auf die Schülerinnen und Schüler der Klasse? Welche Anteile nehmen inhaltsbezogene und nicht-inhaltsbezogene Redebeiträge der Schülerinnen und Schüler ein?
Frau Ackermann entwickelt ein niedrig inferentes Kodiersystem zur Erfassung von Schülerbeiträgen im Mathematikunterricht der Grundschule. Als Datenbasis diente ihr eine aus vier Klassen bestehende Stichprobe des Projekts "Persönlichkeits- und Lernentwicklung von Grundschulkindern" (PERLE). Dieses vom BMBF geförderte Projekt untersucht die Entwicklung affektiv-motivationaler und kognitiver Aspekte des Lernens von ca. 700 Grundschulkindern über die gesamte Grundschulzeit. Die von ihr erfassten und ausgewerteten Daten beziehen sich auf den Mathematikunterricht im zweiten Schuljahr. Den Kern ihrer Arbeit bildet die Analyse von jeweils zwei Unterrichtsstunden in den vier Klassen, in denen die Multiplikation eingeführt wurde. Sie analysiert einerseits die Anzahl und den Inhaltsbezug von Schülerbeiträgen und andererseits, inwiefern diese Schülerbeiträge vom Schüler selbst oder von der Lehrperson initiiert wurden. Auch den Anteil der Lehrer- und Schülerbeiträge an der gesamten Unterrichtszeit nimmt sie in den Blick.
Die Studie verdeutlicht einmal mehr, wie stark sich trotz ähnlicher Rahmenbedingungen die Mikroprozesse im Unterricht, die Interaktionen zwischen Lehrperson und Schülerinnen und Schülern, in verschiedenen Klassen unterscheiden können. Der Wert der Arbeit liegt aber auch darin, dass das entwickelte Kategoriensystem jederzeit auf andere Fächer und andere Kontexte übertragbar erscheint. Schließlich bildet die Arbeit eine wichtige Vorarbeit für stärker qualitative Analysen, die davon ausgehen, dass Unterrichtsgespräche vor allem dann lernförderlich sind, wenn sie die Lernenden zu anspruchsvollen kognitiven und metakognitiven Aktivitäten herausfordern.
