Abstract
Das Jahr 1910 war sozialpolitisch gekennzeichnet durch die fortgesetzte Diskussion um das Arbeitskammergesetz und das System der Arbeitsnachweise, durch den Streik der Hamburger Werftarbeiter und die Konflikte zwischen Arbeitnehmern und Arbeitgebern im Bau- und im Maler- und Anstreichergewerbe sowie weitere, insbesondere von den Kommunen ausgehende Anstrengungen zur Bekämpfung von Armut und Arbeitslosigkeit. In den parlamentarischen Gremien wurde der Entwurf eines Hausarbeitsgesetzes beraten. Mit der zweiten deutschen Konferenz zur Förderung der Arbeiterinneninteressen gelangte das Thema Frauenarbeit erneut ins Blickfeld der Öffentlichkeit.
