AGUA Y FORMA URBANA EN LA AMÉRICA PRECOLOMBINA
(WATER AND URBAN FORM IN PRE-COLUMBIAN AMERICA)
Abstract

The development of the most important pre-industrial cultures was based on applying sustainable strategies for managing water resources, generating an enormous diversity of technical solutions applied by each culture in its relationship with the natural environment.
The conference takes up the study of these cultures in the Americas and puts into context the actions that turned deserts, floodplains and mountains into planned urban clusters in which we recognize the main threads of urban revolution in the Americas.
