Conference 73 in the lecture series "Academic Culture" that invites each week an outstanding Peruvian or international architect colleague. The theme of each lecture is based on the studies, master's or doctoral thesis, always excellent, developed by this colleague; each presentation includes a reflection of the process of gestation of these works.
In this way, Cultura Académica offers the opportunity to learn a lot: about the subject treated as well as about the conception and realization of a high level scientific work in practice.
LA ARQUITECTURA DE ADOBE EN LA COSTA DEL PERÚ
(ADOBE ARCHITECTURE ON THE COAST OF PERU)
Abstract

Based on his research on the northern and southern coast of Peru, Markus Reindel proposes a systematization of the elements that make up adobe architecture, deriving observations on the structure and cultural development of pre-Hispanic societies. In short, he shows how a rigorous architectural analysis allows important inferences about cultures such as the Moche or the Nasca.
