Conference 74 in the lecture series "Academic Culture", that invites each week an outstanding Peruvian or international architect colleague. The theme of each lecture is based on the studies, master's or doctoral thesis, always excellent, developed by this colleague; each presentation includes a reflection of the process of gestation of these works.
In this way, Cultura Académica offers the opportunity to learn a lot: about the subject treated as well as about the conception and realization of a high level scientific work in practice.
ARQUEOLOGÍA DE ASENTAMIENTOS EN EL ÁREA CENTRAL ANDINA
(ARCHAEOLOGY OF SETTLEMENTS IN THE CENTRAL ANDEAN AREA)

In his lecture, Markus Reindel takes the term "settlement archaeology" literally: He critically considers when Andean man actually settled down to lead a sedentary life from then on, and examines how he settled in one of the most complex ecologies that is the Central Andes - to finally discuss at what point the foundations for what we call the "civilizations" are laid, what the foundations of urbanism are, and how the great empires of the Andes were formed.
