Organizational excellence through quality governance
(2008-02-19)
This paper provides an overview of an Enterprise Engineering method called IEM (Integrated Enterprise Modeling) and it describes the usage of SIX SIGMA approach for performance measurement of an enterprise. Based on these two instruments a methodology including procedure and tools is developed, which allows enterprises to define their adequate quality criteria for performance, to measure performance and quality and to derive reasonable actions to take for optimization. Determination of adequate quality and performance ...

Quality Governance based on Enterprise Engineering Method and Six Sigma Approach
(2007-01-22)
Enterprise Modeling (EM) is currently in operation either as a technique to represent and understand the structure and behavior of the enterprise, or as a technique to analyze business processes, and in many cases as support technique for business process reengineering. However, EM architectures and methods for Enterprise Engineering can also used to support new management techniques like SIX SIGMA, because these new techniques need a clear, transparent and integrated definition and description of the business ...

Unterstützung der Zusammenarbeit auf dem Vorfeld von Verkehrsflughäfen
(Gesamtzentrum für Verkehr Braunschweig e.V. (GZVB), 2001-02-20)
Abstract.

Supporting co-operative work in apron control and resource management offices on airports
(P.C. Cacciabue, Institute for System Informatics and Safety, European Commission, Joint Research Centre Ispra, Italien, 2000-06-26)
A high demand exists to increase the efficiency of present airport ground facilities and the co-ordination of traffic and services. The Traffic Office plays a crucial role in managing the airport. The main tasks of the Traffic Office is management of equipment, services, and ressources based on the flight schedule and resolving conflicts arising from deviations from the schedule. A new tool will support information exchange between Traffic Office and other facilities on the airport.

Evaluation of Auditory Displays Supporting Aircraft Approach and Landing
(Elsevier (IFAC Proceedings Volume, ISSN 1474-6670), 2004)
Abstract: The paper describes an auditory interface using directional sound as a possible support for pilots during approach in an instrument landing scenario. Several ways of producing directional sounds are illustrated. One using speaker pairs and controlling power distribution between speakers is evaluated experimentally. Results show, that power alone is insufficient for positioning single isolated sound events, although discrimination in the horizontal plane performs better than in the vertical. Additional sound ...
