Coachingforschung meets Coachingpraxis
Abstract
Coachingforscher:innen wie auch Expert:innen der Coachingpraxis versichern sich häufig ihrer wechselseitigen Bedeutsamkeit und Relevanz. Doch unter der Wasseroberfläche brodelt es: Nehmen die Praktiker:innen den wachsenden „body of knowledge“ in der Forschung überhaupt zur Kenntnis? Oder ist es aus ihrer Perspektive nicht vielmehr so, dass Forschung und die daraus resultierenden Publikationen weder inspirieren noch informieren noch instruieren? Auf der anderen Seite schütteln Wissenschaftler:innen den Kopf darüber, was in der Praxis ohne empirische Überprüfung verkauft, gekauft und durchgeführt wird, ohne dass es empirischeWirksamkeitsnachweise gibt? Die Bemühungen der Wissenschaft, dem Format Coaching eine evidenzbasierte Basis zu schaffen und den Vorwürfen Paroli zu bieten, Coaching sei nur eine Modeerscheinung, tragen Früchte, sodass Konsens darüber herrscht, dass Coaching wirkt. Dies ist mittlerweile auch metaanalytisch in sieben Studien bestätigt worden. Aber sind Wissenschaftler:innen nicht primär an Praktiker:innen interessiert, um sie als Stichprobe für ihre Fragestellungen und Untersuchungen zu gewinnen, statt sie als wirkliche Dialogpartner:innen zu verstehen?
