Impact of ownership concentration and corporate governance on sustainability and stakeholder risk: An empirical Analysis of listed firms from USA, UK and Germany.
(Corporate ownership and control, 2017-03-05)
This thesis contributes to and extends the literature by observing the impact of corporate governance and different attributes of board effectiveness and firm level corporate governance mechanism on stakeholder risk. Like shareholders, stakeholders also face the agency problem and fear losing their hidden resources and efforts. This thesis defines this fear of losing resources and efforts and long-term sustainability prospects as stakeholder risk. Here, it is worthwhile to mention that this thesis also contributes ...

Warenströme in Mitteleuropa – Die Integrationsleistungen der Logistik im 20. Jahrhundert
(2018-09-01)
The paper first explains the concept of logistics in the context of the mass consumer society. It uses the case studies of the Speicherstadt in Hamburg and the Rhenania warehouse in Mannheim to describe warehouse management as part of logistics. The article distinguishes between bulk goods and packaged goods. The logistics of bulk goods are explained by the transport services of Rhine shipping and by the transport services of the railways, with tensions in railway policy between France and Germany being outlined. The ...

Identity and image dynamics – managing social exclusion in profitable way
(Publishing House of the University of Economics, 2015)
The above statement has long been established as the canonical view of economic reality, and it has only been a couple of years since we thoroughly started to contest and debate this world-view. Grasping this, we focus on two aspects about the above perception in detail: First, a suggestion to redefine the term ‘market’ in a more up-to-date fashion, second, the debunking of the suspicious correlation between ‘no money to spend’ and ‘no money to be made’.

Normative and cognitive influences on female entrepreneurial reluctance at the base of the pyramid - an explorative study of cleaning ladies in Istanbul
(COMSATS, Inst. of Information Technology, 2013)

Moreover, specifically start-ups headed by women have played an important role in the economic development and it has been argued that gender-related issues, amongst others, play a significant role for the performance of a country or region. Against this background, this qualitative study explores desires, reluctances and constraints toward entrepreneurial activities of a comparably homogenous group ...
