Ziel der Arbeit ist den historischen Weg darzustellen, um damit einen offeneren und besseren Blick auf die Gegenwart zu bekommen, dass die Entstehung der Vormittagsschule zuerst an höheren und später auch an Volksschulen m. E. möglicherweise eine bildungspolitische und pädagogische Fehlentwicklung darstellte, die es heute aus pädagogischen, sozialpädagogischen aber auch wirtschaftlichen Gründen zu korrigieren gilt.

Lange Risse, die bei Belastungen nahe des Schwellenwerts wachsen, können Ausbreitungscharakteristika zeigen, welche denen kurzer Stadium I-Risse ähneln. Neben einer lokalen Blockade der Rissfront durch Teilchen einer zweiten Phase ist ein schubspannungsgesteuerter Rissfortschritt ein interessanter Effekt, der bei diesen Belastungsbedingungen auftritt.
